How do I do cloth?

yeah you can do this easily with Maya Cloth, if you read the Cloth docs it will tell you all that you need to know to do just that. What kind of constraint to use for the bells etc.
It's really a fast read, should take you about a half an hour to get aquatinted with cloth. Check it out. There's also cloth tutorials on learning-maya.com.

ok, so I'm learning about cloth and I'm still having some issues figuring out exactly what's going to work for my problem.

The top constraint is easy, I just use a point constraint affecting the CVs along the top edge of the cloth.

Constraining a bell to the bottom of the cloth seems a bit more difficult. I figure I can use a button constraint, but the problem is that I need to have the cloth react to the weight of the bell as well as have the bell react to the movement of the cloth. Am I being clear about what the problem is? How could I accomplish this?

here's another aggravating one. I can't seem to turn off solver caching. There's no option to turn it off. And when I go into the attributes for the cache and disable it, maya seems to create some new unlisted cache because as soon as I play it then go back to the start it and play again it does it from memory (it speeds through it without calculating) does anyone know how to turn off caching for the cloth solver? I don't want to have to delete my cache every time I test new cloth property settings.
