I must say that I absolutely despise Mac. I've been using PCs for nearly 17 years now, and I thoroughly love them.
There is nothing that a Mac can do that a PC can't. I'm so sick of people saying, "oh, you work with graphics and stuff - I suppose you must use a Mac then" AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!

I used to lecture animation at a college where they only used Mac, (okay, they were iMacs) and they were unbelievably awful. The day I left that job I was so grateful that I would never have to use one of those rubbishy pieces of plastic again.

My dream is to one day have my own VFX studio, and to buy loads of the Mac cubes and iMacs and powerbooks and use them all as doorstops. They suck.:mad:

Hey Sigma, that's not necessarily true. I understand Mac perfectly well, and I just can't stand it. The Mac OS is revolting. And their memory management (multi-tasking? what multi-tasking?!!) is terrible.
I have never understood this strange misconception that Mac is "better than PC".
I mean, in the 80s they were superior in the graphics realm, but now? Come on, people!
Okay, maybe they are pretty good for DTP, but graphic design? Animation? Games? Ha!
It's Apple themselves that tell everyone that Mac is better. One day people will realise this and Mac will go down!!!!

comparing the macintosh computer with the windows os is like comparing apples and oranges atleast compare the design of an ordinary pc to that of a the new mac or the os to the os lol

if i may put in my two cents...I dont hate macs. they do have there advantages. what I do hate, are those mac loving f**ks. you know the ones, they have the little apple sticker on their honda civics. they talk all the time about how simple and clean the interface is, and how windows is just basically a cheap ripoff of the original, and you know what? I dont give a rats ass. I dont. no one cares. so take that sticker off your car for godsakes, it looks stupid. and stop wearing your hat backwards. your not in highschool anymore and Fred Durst sucks!

Guys guys.... relax. I hate'em too but just chill. :) I will admit though that I absolutely LOVE the 'look' of osX.

What's funny about the die hard mac lovers is that they are soo hung up on the 'old' days when they were better, they dont seem to care that they're SOOOO unstable. My uncle is one of those guys and after buying a brand new G4 just a couple of weeks ago, he in the same conversation said to me that it's sooo bad ass, sooo fast, soooo cool, sooo mac and it crashes all the time (ok he didn't say sooo cool, soo mac :) ). But he did contradict what he said pretty bad though. All the macs crash ALL the time at my school.

Another thing I like about pc's, is that if you know your schidt you can tweak the poop out of them. I heard on some website (I think greg hess said it) that someone has overclocked a P4 2.2Ghz to over 3 Ghz. Dont quote me on that though. Try that with a mac :D :D

Yeah i figured animating a PC Tower wouldnt get the point across really , it was the windows symbol or the Linux Penguin.
