I have a problem with trimming a surface. I'm modeling a car rim. I projected curves onto the surface i was going to trim but when i select trim tool and then click on the surface to trim it nothing happens:( A "trim grid" that suppose to appear doesn't. it looks like i cannot select the object i want to trim. I haven't had this problem with maya 6. Now i'm using 6.5 version.
ps.
I thought i did something wrong so i followed the tutorial witch can be find in help menu>tutorials>trimming a nurbs surface, but the result was the same as above.

Can anybody help me with this problem?
Thanks.

for my opinion. it is not maya version problem

it is patch equality of both surface problem.
also are you sure all intersection has under a good topology ?

hm.

and I think you should intersect operation before trim operation .. did you do ?

Make sure the projected curve on the surface is closed

You may want to rebuild your surfaces to make sure the topology has enough spans and sections. That's usually my problem.
