i just got a sony rb-30. it's a xp home. i switched my lw [8] to it. but it states that the dongle can't be read. now i know my parallel port works because i have it daisy chained to my old zip 100 drive that still works. but when i attach it to my old machine lw[8] works. whats the deal did i do a no-no. or is it my machine? is there a driver that i need? i would appreciate any help on this.

Make sure your Sentinel drivers are installed on the new machine, so that the machine can "talk" to the dongle. The Sentinel drivers should be on your LW[8] CD; or you can download the 5.41.0 "Sentinel SuperPro" drivers from here:
http://www.safenet-inc.com/support/tech/sentinel.asp

I'm using the 5.41.1 SuperPro drivers that came with my copy of Mirage; the only "official" Safenet site that has them is this one:
http://cn.safenet-inc.com/download/sentinel/index.asp

I hope this post helps.

Never mind, I didn't read your post good. Sorry, I don't have any tips. Only thing I can say is that I really dislik parallel dongles. The one I got with Aura broke 2 times.

Hope you find a solution!
