View Full Version : Transparent Plastic
Trion-5 10-01-2002, 01:43 AM I'm a begginer that is try to model a real world object.
The objects is Bic pen...you know the ones you can pick up 5 or 10 in a pack? The casing/housing(?) is transparent plastic.........
Can anyone guide me a lil bit into how to make such a material?

Lower your opacity (try 10) and mask it with a Falloff Map set to Fresnel (controls the resulting value based on the angle of the surface to the viewer). Increase the Glossiness and Strength. Add reflections (plastic doesn't refract too much).

if you look close you can sorta see the casing
