View Full Version : Max+MR rendered sudden contrast prob!?

I am having this problem where i am using mental ray to render my max scene, i have put 8 or so simple target spots in, no other fancy lighting yet as i have only just started, as the rendering progresses it looks fine, the dark areas look normal, and everything else looks good, then the minute it finishes rendering and that last little square dissappears the whole scene gets contrasted and it doesnt look very good. Any ideas?? suggestions??

Check in environment > exposure control to see if its turned on.

You may have inadvertenly applied it at some stage. This could be having the effect you describe as it can alter image value levels.
