View Full Version : how to make Water Flow in 3ds max?

i need to know how to make Water Flow in 3ds max?
should i just try and animate it or what,if so what is a good way of doing this,

Perhaps creating a moving plane for your water would work. You will want to create a 'mix' map with two animated "phasing" noise maps.

It deppends how realistic you want it to be, but you can animate the map to move on a certain axis, you could use a bump map or displacement map...
If its a winding river create a lofted surface, because it will have UV mapping to the curves...
