Hi,
probably a stupid question, but should intensity of keylight be in range 0 - 1? If it has to be higher, does it suggest that there is something wrong with textures or shaders?

In general, I keep keylights around 0.7-1, a kicker can usually go up to 2, and maybe 0.2-0.4 for a fill (if you're using a 3 point lighting system for your model).

Basically, if your key light has a value of 1.0, that means on the brightest part of your model, you're seeing the pure diffuse color with no shading. So a lot of people consider an intensity of 1 to be a good neutral lighting setup, and if you model looks too dark, it's a texture/shader issue instead of a lighting issue. Of course, the most important thing is to make sure any models you're using with each other all recieve the same lighting rig to keep consistency.
