well i have a video tutorial on it but the index is missing from the video so it crashes
if anyone knows of a good program to extract the audio from the video AVI file i can remake the tutorial

ive tried cool edit pro and a couple others but they dont work for some reason
i almost got it to open in a video editing program but it crashes after 30 seconds

Try this

This program was created to be able to watch partially downloaded DivX (AVI) movies. It can rebuild or strip the index part of the movie, which is at the end of the file. There are also a basic error detection, which can detect serious errors in the audio/video stream.
