View Full Version : Gnomon Workshop DVDs...
OrestesMantra 09-30-2002, 06:11 PM Has anyone bought any of the DVDs? Im interested in getting the "Getting Started" bundle. Id love to hear from people who have bought any of the DVDs included in the bundle:
Introduction to Maya - video
NURBS Modeling, I - dvd
Polygon Modeling, I - video
Texture Mapping, I - video
Rendering, I - video
Im also curious if these cover the basic of the basics, because i have a fundamental knowledge of Maya and i dont want to re-learn the basics.
Thanks.

the school i goto has every single gnomon on vhs. ive watched only the 7 tapes on dynamic and they are exremely good and get into some pretty advanced stuff. Not sure about the others.

actually, the target date for the rest of the series to be put onto dvd is mid fall... so.. if you hold out.. which that is what i am doing... you should be able to pick up the series on DVD soon :)
and the discount bundle packages are missing all of the new dvd's that he just released.. i hope they make some new discount bundles that you can buy one at a time and eventually get the whole set :)
because i can't afford the whole thing right away...

i have like 7 of the videos now. the beginner ones like polygon 1 and rendering 1 help a little. but i also got the organic modeling 1 and 2 and those are awsome! havn't got any of the dynamics ones yet. those r next!
