View Full Version : ess-o phenom: it's a man with a seahorse head
revell skubuhdu 04-09-2005, 12:28 AM this is my second post of the first group of models i have made. i am having a hard time knowing what to do with this one. everytime i look at him, i want to see something different.
let me know where you think i should take this one. i would appreciate some texturing and shading ideas and maybe some proportion ideas, too. essentially, i want a more surreal, disproportionate feel to him............clothing ideas?

I know it's fantasy but seahorse are really frail creatures whereas you character is quite buff.
They (seahorses) have such delicat efeeding apparel, I can hardly imagine it consuming enough food to fuel such a body.
Technicaly though, I don't find anything wrong.

haha, that's true. i hadn't thought about it that way. (what do seahorses eat anyway? like algea or something? i should've probably already looked into that.)
i guess i was initially thinking he was supposed to be like an egyptian god like anubis or horus. i was reading the nikopol trilogy recently, and one of the egyptian gods in that had a cockroach head. i was bummed out that i didn't think of that.

If it's a deity it's fine. Could feed on life force, faith, fears, something alike. His snout does look soul sucking.
