If Messiah exposes both the C API and Messiah Script then why does it also make use of Python? Just curious.

Lyle mentioned some threads ago that the whole AutorigII/python thing was a dead end street of some sort (it caused a lot of the crashes people encountered). Both are dumped and will be replaced with a new Autorig system as I understood it.
I have no specifics about the problems though - other software does well with python and a more complete script language than messiah script would have been a good thing IMO.
The latest release shows some nice development with scripting though, the morph controller is really cool and the included script editor is also a good step forward.
