This should show what I have in mind a bit better. I've also laid down some of the basic colors which will be appearing to describe and maintain the point and idea of the image. N'joy.

This is the rough pencil sketch, quickly coloured for the overall feel i'll probably want in the picture. I'm not going for a very colorful thing, mostly monochromatic snow colours.
Just showing this up - the master can be very small and the servant can be a servant to more than one, whether it's a little fuzzy kitten or an uptight leader sending a servant as a master of an instrument to kill - to war.

Goodluck.

Really nice concept and the initial sketch shows great promise. I think it's a good idea, and to be honest, I've had a lot of cats and they have a strange tendency to make ME the servant... They're very self-serving and manipulating sometimes! :)
This could be quite good, I'll keep checking back!

Different idea, like the realistic approach. Agree about cats we are definately the servants!
Will your cat be a wretched scrap?
:D Thanks, I hope to make the cat a cute little kitten, probably as white as the snow or a little sandy color. But cats are extremely hard to draw so i'll have to go out on a hunt with a camera.

interesting. i like the idea alot. it's got a sad cuteness to it. i think something that really helps to illustrate the oppresive nature of a snow covered area is scale. so maybe extending out the image horizontally would really bring these two characters closer together. I like the twists in the idea alot, alot of levels in there. look forward to the progress!

I agree, that was my initial idea actually, cause my favourite way of drawing a picture is making it as possibly cinematic as possible if you know what i mean, so something along the lines of 2.35:1 would be what i'm aiming at.

Hey, good update. it's a lot clearer to see what's going on. The soldier looks a bit cut out and is not blending in with the environment. Can't wait to see more update dude.
cheers,
Archie
