View Full Version : Something wrong with maya

Well, i can no longer select any of the transformation buttons from the left tool bar and i can't right click anything i'm modeling. Ive uninstalled, reinstalled, repaired, and none of it works. if you have any ideas, please help me

That's wierd! I was sick of always having to go all the way to the left and click on the icons. Instead, know I use the keyboard shortcuts! You'll really get used to it fast.
W is move, E is rotate and R is scale. Practice one day, and the problems solved!!

thanks, now ive got that problem solved. but what about right click? i cant get the menu to come up with the options when i right click the surface/polygon/anything in the modeling window.

Hmm... I had that problem also. I had a problem with my mouse driver though.
Try right-click on other programs, and see if it works. If you have a microsoft mouse,
try checking the driver settings (if there are any).

P.S. Are you using PC or Mac?

Try going into you prefs folder and renaming it to prefs old. That might bring it back after you restart Maya. It will create a new defult prefs folder.

It's located in C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\maya\
