I have this problem with importing any model into ZBrush. I use 3D Studio MAX 6.0 and 7.0 I use 7 because it can export obj files. Now when i export my model from 3DMax in obj file format, these are the properties that come up and that is that the correct way to export?

Select model File>Select Export

(Im exporting the MP5 to test the exporting, im not going to do anything with it in ZBrush, just to make my point.)

Now when i run ZBrush and Import this model here is the result i get.

I tried exporting other models but i get the same thing. Any ideas?

Zbrush wouldn't need the smoothing groups, I would think. So try turning that off. Other than that, I don't know, because I don't use Max. Sorry.

Uncheck the bottom two checkboxes.

I figured it out. You have to turn off Relative Vertex Numbers in the OBJ Exporter menu.
