This terribly unexciting concept is a mix of 3d primitives and photoshop. I have a female body templete that I have started and will post shortly.

I want to push through this first stage of modeling as fast as I can. I really want to get to the posing and costume stage as soon as I can. Hopefully I will have the girl templete created this weekend.

I should clarify. The quality of the concept is lackluster. As you jolyrojr2 put it, I can't get enough of half naked women, especially ones wearing cowboy hats and ammo belt.
The only thing more cliche then big breasted CG women, is the people that complain it's cliche. :)

Great work so far. The collar bones/breasts look a little misshapen at the moment, but the face looks excellent. Also, waist is looking small, but maybe that was your intention if you're going for a stylized look.

I'm trying to give the bad cowgirl a little bit of an "over experienced" porn star look. She needs to be sexy but have a slight unsavory or overused edge to her.
It's a thin line to walk, because if I exaggerate the thin waist or the big breasts to much she will just look anatomically incorrect.
Hopefully when I pose her next to the more natural farm girl things will start to take shape.

Here's another scary barbie post. This time it is the work in progress of the farm girl. All that I really need to model is the hands and I can start posing.
The entire head is finished, but I find the smooth bald head distracting in viewing female models.

I just posed the figures, threw in some simple geometery for compostion purposes, and tossed in a few lights.
Next I think is hair for their head. Then I'll fix the problems caused by moving them around in a rig.

For this theme I wanted to do something more pinup in theme then straight up domination. I have done a lot of sci fi tech monsters lately, so modeling curvy females is a nice change.
It is funny when your in a challenge where you say "Oh another naked female post...how unoriginal."

@Ephesus - I'd say there was a hell of a lot more cliche fantasy beast/knight entries in this challenge then erotica.

Looks good Rook, I'd try to soften the transition from breast to chest, it's look a bit harsh at the moment, also the cowgirl's breast is a little oddly shaped.

Your right Kwak. I really wanted the feeling that those two touching breasts where pushing into each other, but the pose I ended up with doesn't work for that. Here's an update on those breasts.

I think your right about the breasts CrazyDesign. I pulled them closer togather as they near the clavicle and they look a little more natural. I'm going to move on to costumes for the time being.

The bottle is just stand in geometery, and so is the shader. I have alot more detail in the cloth but it's all zbrush work and I need to start bringing it into maya.

Looks realy good already, just that the backgroundcolor isn't quite what it should be...maybe i read over it, but is it the final color? I would suggest the color be different from any color the girls are wearing...makes them stand out more....but he, just suggesting.

I would use a overhead spot so there is some falloff in the upper corners of the image.

Lighting and skin still need some major work. The skin right now looks like some kind of wierd velvet. There is also no normal maps on the skin.

Here are some of the layers I am rendering out for my compositing process. I use that crazy techno color layer to tweak individual components of the picture in photoshop.
My texture layers isn't in there, because I haven't finished it yet.

Of that last milestone: I really like that you showed it of in this way: that colored 'selection masks in one pass' is really brilliant (before I rendered off an alpha for every single element :D > time consuming!). Thank you for showing it can be done easier! ;)

Now does the réally fun part start, don't you agree ('cause I always veeery like it when everything is rendered out, and I can begin tweaking the mood in PS :rolleyes: )

Hi, Shaun:

I really like your scene! Not many contestants have "dared" to tackle some "realistic humans" in this challenge! Your's are great.

Three minor things:

The left elbow of the cowgirl looks a little strange, like it had an extra little fold where it bends.

The waist of the same girl seems to be missing a piece of the shadow.

The knot of the rope seems to be made from a different material (much flatter).

Otherwise your image is very artistic, sexy and well executed IMO.

This looks great! I really like the illustrated feel of the render. I particularly like the look and style of the girl on the left.

Making humans for an under the gun challenge like this was very brave and you did a great job with it. Another technique for creating the hair may have yielded slightly softer results but we all know that making CG hair is a career by itself. I have honestly never pulled off great CG hair so I don't want to get on a soapbox about the hair.

I do really need to find a nice solution for hair. I have yet to see a hair sim I like. Transparent strips don't look good to me either. Maybe I'm just looking hard enough.

I'm someone who uses geomentry for hair all the time, because I think the fancy solutions are pretty creepy. Plus, the hair in yours looks kinda damp, kinda matted and wind-swept. Fits with the sexygirl thing.

I didn't want to spell her name the same as mine, because I'm quite certain she's a the type of girl that could beat me silly, and from what I'm told "Shawn" is a more feminen version of "Shaun".

Overcontrast - the ropes are just a simple extrusion. One profile curve extuded down a path with the rotation set to about 9000. It's funny how the simple things turn out the best sometimes.
