Its not a free plugin , sorry dude,,, :)

I think Next Limit had a MAX/Lightwave convertor also that had a demo version that allowed 3 exports,, BUT the last time I looked it was showing screen shots from version LW 5.6 so I would check into that also.

I know quite a bit about this as I've used the two in production together. Right now I'm working at Computer Cafe on a project, doing particle/volumetrics work in MAX. The two approaches that seem to work well are to use either Deep Exploration or the free Kaydara .fbx format (www.kaydara.com). Be careful though and don't expect a complete scene translation with lighting and textures. You're better off just translating objects/animation/cameras.

Thats what I have always done,, just transfere the object and recreate the scene,, less headaches and your pretty sure not to have any un needed anim info or oddities in behavior of lights , cameras. or whatever.

I can not get that DCOM server working in MAX 5 though

I just care about the camera and objects

Have you tried the .fbx format?
