Does anyone know if you can change the place 3ds max starts from when you go to open, as it starts in scenes. As im going through about 8 folders to get where I want quite frequently as it starts in scenes.

Go to configure paths and change the Scenes directory to what you want.

I made a 160Gb drive the root of my documents and pointed to that, puts everything real close.

Oh I never saw that config paths option before (customize > configure paths) I didn't think it would be that easy :)
