Hi everyone, you know that first image when you open your max can be changed. Make a 600x300 picture and put it in your root directory with the name "splash.bmp". Its simple and cool

Show us what is you "max-openning" picture...

actually... you can make it any size you want :)

What I want to know is how to make that flash file stop from showing after a few secs?

Just delete the splash.swf from the root directory. No more flash load up screen. :)

Is there a way to make it show random images? Considering it's an swf... I guess it's possible to actionscript it to randomly show images from 1 to N or something.

I kind of remembered there's a way to display random images in flash. So this max swf file can be replaced by any swf file?

I tried that before but I think it replaced it when I started it back up (not sure about that..... just a memory).

heres mine, well for 3dsmax4.2 that is, still got to do my max5 one:)

just wondering--does the swf file not use unnessesary memory, not that i'm to worried-got my 2.4ghz the other day:D

i lost the site url due to a hdd crash, but i saved pretty much every image of Hyung-Tae Kim's Magna Carta and War Of Genesis art to one of my comp's other hard drives. I put them all in a zip file (~15 megs :eek: ) and uploaded it to my web site's server...
