Hi,

I have a problem that I don't know how to solve.
When I spline model I have my 3d snap turned on. And it works USUALLY.

Sometimes it happens that I make horizontal line with, let's say 5 vertices.
Then when I try and make vertical spline, I'm not able to 3d snap to verteces on horizontal line.

The rest of the splines works fine, just these 5 vertices seem to be the problem.

In that situation my new verteces are usually made too far from the model, so I have to take them and align by hand and using fuse command.

What could be the problem?

Try making sure that Vertex is checked and everything else is cleared in the Grid and Snap Setting dialog box.

possible cause(s)

- Are you using a grid (helper) other than the Home grid? if so, it may not be aligned to the viewport you're trying to draw in.

- If the 1st vertex is created by snapping to another object in 3d space, subsequent vertices that are not created by snapping to an object in the same plane will default to the X,Y, or Z plane of your home grid (or your current grid). They will need to be manually re-positioned to be in the same plane as the 1st vertex you created.

what viewport is this happening in? You do not have this problem in the perspective view, do you?

Same thing - I have noticed when spline cage modeling I can not snap to verts of the cage I am working on (in sub-obj mode). This makes the S.O. command to CREATE LINE a bit frustrating and useless.

I make copies of my spline cage all day long so I can snap to new verts. Kinda lame - What up?
