She asked, "Why, my child did you bind me so?"
So I showed my bonds and protested, "No, my mother I did not so."

She held me close and smiled.

She asked again, "Why, my child did you bind me so?"
To which I finally replied, "Not me, my mother. It's my master's will."

She stroke my hair and smiled.

So she asked, "Whom, my child is your master thus?"
So to which I cried, "My desires, my dreams, my hopes."

She wiped my tears and smiled.

Then she asked, "Are you servant of your master thus?"
Then to which I replied, "Yes, my mother it is so."

She held me close and smiled.

And she finally said, "I am your servant, and always had been."
And I finally broke down, "I know, my mother. You need no chains."

She smiled and closed her eyes.
And so I wept as I drained her dry.

Beautiful pencil work :) I just can't get over how nice it looks. I sometimes forget that pencil work can look just as pleaseing as digital paintings. I guess it goes with the subject matter. How are you planning to colour this? I'd love to see a more nature/wood colour palette, with lots of browns and reds, with nice yellow/orange highlights, maybe even some soft blues somewhere. Sorry, I don't mean to impose I just love what you are doing :)

these are reeeally cool... love the stylised bodies and the pencil work.

The in the second to last 'doodle of the necromancer' was my favourite... nice flowing lines and a real feeling of movement. And bound hands are good...

Nice poem to describe the title. The red color mood suits the theme very well, so far so good. Her arms are quite eye catching because they are so skinny:sad: , but they seem too parallel, both bone ends are bigger. looking forward to it:)

This is so beautiful, really... I'm usually not so into "dark" art, but this is IMHO a very strong piece. excellent light, it makes the one's head "pop out", not to forget the character designs, very original and stylish.
Can't wait to see how you develop it further! ^^

I really like the muted green hues you have in this latest update... and the darker tones really suit the style and subject matter, I think. I'd just be careful to properly highlight your main focal point (characters) and add some nice complimentary colour accents to add some visual pop to the image.
