I am going to develop a game. I plan on making it totally free to the public, but donating money will provide certain bonuses that make the game even more enjoyable. So starting out I will not be able to provide any compensation. But if the game grows like I think it has a chance to. There will be compensation. Not too many games make it big, but I feel I have a solid idea and am able to handle dealing with math pretty well, so setting up formulas will be easy.

Back on track. I know I came to the right place, cause the work I've seen on this site is amazing. Granted I will not need as fancy artwork that is displayed here. It will be your basic 2D graphics, but I would like them to be appealing enough to draw the eye of the average gamer. The graphics will be more cartoonish yet have a real feeling to them.

Starting out, as soon as the game is finished I can provide free server space for the artist if they wish to purchase their own domain name somewhere they can point it to our server. This will actually save some money since the main cost is the server space and bandwidth. If the game takes off I wouldn't mind starting into other game projects and becoming a multi game provider. All credit will be given to the artist as well. The webspace the artist can use to host any future projects they have for themselves or use it as space for a resume or inventory of their images.

If there are any further questions or if you would be willing to take part in this project, email me at fjyoder@gmail.com and I will be anticipating working with someone on this. Thank you for your time :-)

Is this in flash or director? Or something else entirely?

Thank you for your question Ghostscape...I should have clarified earlier...

It's just going to be browser based...if someone is skilled with flash a flash intro would be wonderful. I just started to learn flash actually, but am no where near able to actually make a nice animated intro and prolly will not work in it too much. But the site will mostly just needs jpeg's and/or gif's. Whatever the artists personal preferences are. Anything more advanced would not be needed, but if someone is willing to do above and beyond with some new stuff it would be appreciated. I'd just be content with getting pretty much anything to get me started. Cause writing the code then redoing it to be visual can be tedious. So it's nice to have the visuals made while doing the code.

If you want proof that I know php and mysql I did a site located at
www.csaiowa.com/fourseasons (http://www.csaiowa.com/fourseasons)
This images on the front are randomly chosen from 17 images and placed there. And that site is proof I'm not skilled in the graphical arts. But I do know how to code fairly well. I'm not a master like some, but I am pretty confident I could get the job done. I'm trying to be as honest as possible here. I have an admin section setup on that site even and it requires a login and whatnot. So I do have the ability. The front sections are generated by input the owners put in in their admin section.

Thank you again for viewing my pleading for a graphic artist ;-)

I've wanted to create a browser based game for quite some time now. I was an administrator for one a few years ago, only problem with me creating my own is I know nothing about programing. However... :) I am somewhat skilled in Photoshop. As long as you have solid ideas on what you think your looking for, I think I may be your guy.

My email is ngru_mobious@hotmail.com If your interested, send me some more info and I'd be happy to send you some work that I've done.

i am a fulltime honours student currently writing a browser game and implementing my own graphics (for student year project). The game idea itself is copywright at university, seeing its only in development stages. The game will be free when released. Anyways I do the graphics myself, and i am programming it in java (applet).

E-mail me if you want see my site, i'll send a link...

if you like what you see in the graphics, let me know, maybe i can help. I do the graphics in photoshop too, so it is pixel graphics, not drawn. Maybe we can even swap ideas about the browser programming :)
