View Full Version : Lost morning...

A beautiful image that I am finding very difficult to critisise, I love the use of colour, the lens effects are attractive, unusual, convincing and detailed in that caustic rainbow effect and the scene works very well against that heavily DOF effected backdrop which is perfect for the image.
The stem although very simple in construction is well formed and detailed in its texture and the dew again is very convincing in the way it is laid out and reflecting its environment perfectly. A very impressive artistic piece of work.
Well done.

Very nice work. I'm also having a hard time finding something to critique. I guess if I had to play with anything in this image it might, and I use that word loosely, look at increaseing the sharpness on branch. But I would not want to lose the DOF. I too, also LOVE the lens effects with the DOF. Have you thought about trying to sell this to card companies? It looks like something I would buy from Leanin Tree.:applause:

Argh, forgot to ask how long did it take you to render and with what renderer? I guess the render time is also meaningless without knowing some specs on your machine.

that looks good, but i think the branch is a litle too rough-textured...i guess it depends on what kind of tree you'r looking at, but here's a pic i took few days ago...i hope the detail shows, due to the crappy pic size we're limited to:annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed:
Very nice, Igor! Very nice...

Rendered whith PIII 800, 256 RAM Gforce 2 MX 400, 64 MB, Max4, without engine render(implicit engine) – render time 25 min. Chiseled in 2d. Thanks!
