View Full Version : About Hair cache batch render

When I create the cache of my hair and save my maya file, there generate mchp files in the date folder in my project, however when I set everything in the render globle and proceed the batch render, it got the below message: Need a unique name among all disk caches.

And my file cannot render as normal.
what is that suppose to mean? Shud I change my maya file name or my mchp cache file name?

anyone have the same problem? thanks for any reponse:scream:

seem that nobody have the same problem.:sad:

but pls just give me some advices if you think i shud check or figure out, thanks

Just check if the different hair systems in your scene have unique names.

Hi dude ....

Its a very simple erro just delete the existing hair cache which you have already done it and then create a new cache ,this would solve the problem ..

sorry that sounds simply but more complicated when u re-simulate it. it needs time even a long time.
my way is save the file, close maya, then re-open the file, go render. everything is normal now!
but i still don't understand why it generate the message......

and each hair system in my file do have a unique name!
