well here it is the final image:) I love how it turend out hope every one likes it:)
The Story
The man and his loyal animial work the feilds, and keep the farm running. They both care for each other because with out each other they would not be able to function as well as they can if they help each other. The farmer cares for his animial in every way he can. You see him here fileing the toenails of the creature. He does this with great respect for the great animial. The creature looks on at the farmer with thanks for takeing care of him with such care and love. For they both relize they are stronger togther then apart.
Inspiration
I grew up around horses and have a great respect for animials. So I wanted to make a scene that convayed this. I also really like fantasy themes and creature's so I blended my life experences with some fantasy aspects and I got this scene.
Tech Stuff
I used Maya 6 and photoshop to create this scene. In Maya I modeled with polygons, I did this because polygons I have the most experince with and I was comfterbal with creating imagery using polygons. I textured most surfaces using textures I created in Photoshop. I rendered the final image as a hole because I was confident my computer could handle the scene. The final render took eight and a half hours. Then I did some colour balance and touch up's in Photoshop.
I really love how the scene turned out, I hope you like it to.

this is a real rough sketch I did last night to get basic placing and emotion. very rough but good starting idea I think. I want to show the relationship between a master and he\\\'s animail (servent) and how they rely on each other.

Hi Zoox,
I've just finished my final image and having myself a glass of red, while finally having the time to view everyones entrys.
Looking at your lighting, I generalloy like it but it seems a bit green. I would try and add a bit of magenta to break up all that yellow, it would give it more depth. I'm thinking this takes place in the night, with the moon falls cooler colours, perhaps if you would add them to the flloors and walls furthest from the candle light would give the great light have more richness.
It's just a thought.
All the best to you,
alisk
thanks for the comment :) I like your thoughts on my image just have to see if I can try some things in time :banghead: but ya any way got lot's to do so back off to work I go :bounce:

Nice image, i like the background and the yellow light environnement.
foreground is abit dark, a slight light on the monster would have been better, i think.
Good luck
David.
