Hi all!

I am new to this forum :)

Due to push my skills in making textures, I am looking for good tutorials for making wood-textures with Adobe Photoshop.

Does anyone know good ones, explaining the techniques behind creation of such textures?

What I just found via google, were shareware-tools to generate wood-textures :curious:

Yo,

The best thing to do is to scan or photograph wood and use it as an image map, just make sure it can be tiled. Try looking for basic material creation tutorials on the web to learn the basics. Here is a sight with some great hi res textures...

Good luck....:buttrock:

Thanks :)

Well, further steps by walking around with my camera will be a better way first than creating textures in Photoshop directly. ;) It's the variety of wood itself which makes it so difficult to create, in Photoshop.
