Hi!

I'm new here so be patient with me.

Well because i got the idea from here i desided to be part of this challenge. I'm rather new in 3D and this is most complex work for me so far and first character ever. I've learnt with this pease a lot but pointing me right direction don't hurt.

Finished

Looks preety good. You got a couple of bunches in the clothes that could be ironed out and the face could use some detail but great start. Don't get discouraged by the lack of post. You don't suck. I also got no replies for the longest time then an ass decided when I asked the same question you asked to tell me that I really do suck. He was wrong though and an idot because his answer did not help me improve. It was a pointless asshole thing to say. Therefore I figured that I would be honest with you (like all posters should be) and telll you that you don't suck. It just needs some improvment but is a great design with great potential. Just spend more time. Don;t get discouraged. We are all here to improve.

If you're really new in 3d then your work is pretty good and there's obviously good idea behind that ;) .....and i like that thing what's attached to the head.

Thanks folks.

Actually i don't care if i suck or not coz this is still best work what i've ever done and i'm proud and happy about it. :)

With clothing i made beginners mistake and there is too many vertex to fix it, maybe i redo it.

I was testing some textures and maybe somebody could help me wich way to go leather or PVC( these are just raw examples)

Leather is harder to fake but PVC require lots of chrome and my tool (Blender) ain't good at it.

You certainly don't suck! The only people who suck at 3d are the people who think they're great. You don't get any better if you think you're already the best

I suggest you concentrate more on details right now. You've got a great looking concept, but the model is still rough and blocky (eg. the hands). Also, are you modelling everything all together? That can sometimes be overwhelming and cause you to forget detail. If you are, I advise you to model pieces bit by bit. The gun especially shows lack of attention, as it's little more than a bit of modelling combined with primitives. If you take it by itself and really concentrate on making it look real, it'll turn out a lot better.

Right now, your model is in more of a preliminary stage, and it's not ready to be textured. Work out the wrinkles and glitches in the modelling, and tighten up your modelling.

You've got a lot of potential, I think. Just focus on detail and on finishing the model before you texture it, and you'll go far.

If you have any questions about what I've said here, or anything else, please ask; often there's a way to do something you might not have thought possible before :)

I like the western look on your character and enviornment. But I noticed that the gun holding hand seem kinda webbed. Is that intentional? Nice idea on the WIP can't wait the see the ironed out work. Wow, if you are beginning(your race in the track of 3d) then I haven't even reach track yet haha still at home in Victoria reading the forum! =)

Shut up space moped. God all you do is bitch at peoples work. why don't you post something and stop being such an ass

I think your character is great for just beginning 3d. It has a lot of charcter, and after all the point of the challenges is to learn and get better

keep with it!!!

Hey SpaceMoped what is your problem? Like Adam said the whole point of the forum is for everyone to learn and to create better art. No one deserve your crude comments. They are not crits, they are disz. If you can't be helpful why are you posting? And on this case even your disz holds no merits, since Poju's work is good and competent (and better than what I can do for sure)!

I can rant forever on the subject but I don't want to pollute Poju's thread. Yet, if anyone want to get a feeling of what it would be like if I had rant on for another kb of text then just refer to SpaceMoped since he/she covey uselessness at its worst (all the time).
(yea my english bad but you get the idea.....):)
