Him? I for sure thought this was a woman. It's a combination of the features and the width of the hips and how small the feet are, and the way the chest is rendered (in spite of the bulge in the groin area) :)

It could also be the pose - with the right arm held to his side with the wrist bent, and the legs together that way.

NOOB!

Great start there.. i really like it... good composition so far, and the character looks good for starters. Also like the stone in her hand for some reason... appeals to me :D
Looking forward to following your progress in this thread :D

it's not a girl >_<

i tried the 4 point perspective, but this is the first time i use it, so that's why the middle part is so big!
but thx anyway! :D

I know that this may be a little late because you are already working on coloring, but you might want to rework your arms. It looks like the left arm is far to short. If it were to fall to the side, the tips of the fingers would be above the waist. The better position would be just behind the stone. Remember the arm should appear longer and larger as it approaches the viewer.
The right arm looks better, but I am not sure about what it is doing. Is it suppose to wrap around the cane, or is it hanging loose? At the moment, it looks like the elbow is occuping the same space as the cane.
I like the work. The color and composition is good. I'll be interested in seeing the final image.
