View Full Version : Question about restoring WinXP.
Solve 04-04-2005, 11:03 AM Is it possible to back-up files that'll still be on the HDD after I restore Win XP?
My computer is in bad condition after a flawed service pack installation so I must restore it to the original state. Unfortunetly, I have some large files that I don't want to lose.

For that reason, I tell everyone that just has a single hard drive in their computers to partition their drive for OS and data. I reinstall every 12 months, and I never worry about moving my data around because they are on another partition.
You can use apps like Partition Magic to create a second partition on your drive and move the data to that second partition. Then go ahead and reinstall Windows on C.
