I got new machine with XP home-edition and started installing software. At the start internet (cable connection) functioned properly, so I think I just made something to it in the middle of installing other software and hardware.

Few times I got popups that said "this application tries to get connection to internet" and because I was just installing software I chose "not this time" and later "not ever". However I remember that in a some point it was some Microsofts application that tried to access to a net and I think I chose "not ever" for it...and now browsers and mailprograms won't access to a net. I found that hardware was ok and from internet connection setup I could see that connection is ok...So how I can solve this problem?

I write this with my second machine, so it must be a XP problem.

Seems you have problems with your Firewall, try to reboot if you have said "not ever" and the next bootup he should ask again.
If this doesn't help, try to reset the firewall settings and reduce security level!
For an easy check, simply disable the Windows firewall and check if the connection works!

I rebooted but it won't ask anything and no connection yet. I have to try to check firewall settings...thanks.
