The title was inspired by a Pink Floyd song. I believe that we live in a society were we all are masters and servants at some level. Even those in higher places respond to someone else or even to their primal instincts.
Even though the song doesn´t talk about this, the title made me think about the way somene should run to set himself free. Free from everything. That´s why I decided to represent society/ master, as a mass of hands and flesh grabbing us and pulling us back, so we can´t escape.

Rearranged some ideas I wasn´t satisfied with. Now, on to the lineart.

Nice, very interesting style. I like the characters and the overall movements and flow. Reminds me of an abtract cubist painting. Keep it coming. Will be checking back for more.

Yo Carlos!
One of the most inspiring styles I've seen lately! Bravo!
You're a true artist in my eyes!
Peace!
Adam
Thanks a lot for the positive comments. Started working on the background as well, so You´ll probably see some more progress by the end of the day.

Nice, very nice. Looking good dude. I like the texturing on the background, but you kinda lost that time clock thing which i really like. I guess the next step is to pop out those characters. Will be checking again dude.
cheers and thanks for dropping by me thread
Hi Arc. Thanks man. Not sure what You mean by "time clock thing" but yes, from now on I´ll focus on the main character. About the background, I´m afraid that some detail is lost because of the resolution, so I guess I´ll post some close ups later. See Ya.

Awesome style, and I love the idea. The round background element does look like a sundial, but I don't think it's lost at all. One thing that does appear to have become lost is his ankle - it took me looking at the sketches to recognise the foot as its attachment to the rest of the leg is hard to read - at least at this resolution. Maybe a thin highlight, similar to the one you did on the arm, would help?

Definately agree with Liiga mate, brilliant style and all, but the ankle is Def getting lost, your style is really something bro, love those textures. And the roundness gives it immense movement and momentum. Keep it going!!
Check my piece out on :

and please dont hesitate to give me feedback. Thanks
Hi guys. I´ll check the contrast on that ankle later. Thanks for Your support. I´ll stop by Your threads too and I´m glad You like my style. I´m trying something different since I didn´t want this image to look like a traditional illustration.

What's up dude. I was just talkinga bout the compass thingy on your background, but you brought it back so it looks cool. I really love the effect that you are putting in this. My first interpretation is "Heaven & Hell" transitioning. Your character is trying to break free. My other interpretation is your character is trying to catch up with time (for some reason), hehehe. Anyway, looking good. No critzs on my part.
Finish it already
cheers :bounce:
What´s up Arc? I´m glad You like the way is developing. I also like the fact that you´re trying to make an interpretation of the scene. I´ll post some more progress tonight.

Started the final coloring phase. Now it´s time to give my eyes a rest. I´ll post the final image closer to the deadline.

Grab on to the light... grab on before it disappears... :D Dude, i really love that effect. It feels like he is breaking into this force field thing.
AWESOME
cheers
Thank´s for the support. He´s actually kinda breaking into something. He´s also disintegrating and becoming one with the light. No freedom comes without sacrifice.

I think you'll win the prize of the more strange picture. Anyway the colors are great and I like it :scream:
It is actually something different from what I´ve done in the past. I guess somehow all this freedom thing helped me to free myself as a painter as well. Thanks
