I have this big project , half of it sorted out , but there's a small effect which requires two sheets of cloth flowing and palying with each other in the wind , then fading out gradually.

I've never done this effewct before in max , in anything actually. Any ideas how to start ?

If you have max7 use clothfx otherwise use reactor.

The tutorials should lead you to a solution fairly quickly.

Just a note. You have to be a Discreet subscriber to get the clothFX plugin.

Lemme know what plugin you want to use for this; I was going to do a simple cloth tutorial using either Reactor or Simcloth; heck...maybe I'll do both! :D

1. Create two well sub-divide sheats for your cloths.
2. Add the reactor cloth modifer to both
3. In the helpers tab, add a "CL Collection" object.
4. Add both cloths to the helpers object.

You then goto ultilities and select reactor, and then "create animation" to test what you got so far.
You will probably have to play with the cloth modifer settings a lot, and then add the wind.

Thanks , Darkflame Im doing that now. But is it possible with simcloth too ? I have seen that it's sims can be pretty neat. I'll let you know how it turned out.

Nope , too mem intensive . I am trying something with the particle hair plugin though. It's just that the cloth is now hair. So the edges are pointy. Solution ?
