Very nice character Andy! Great style and execution. Reminds me very much of Jarvis Cocker from Pulp! Sheffield`s finest :D

awesome work- I really love your style -very recognizable and unique. the geeky character is fantastic ,and beautifully modelled-the only tiny crit I'd make is the eyebrow texture looks a bit strange.
love it though! will be great to see the animation

Very nice character! Love those poses, he´s very expressive.

I don´t like very much the teeth. They seem to be a little too flat, even for a cartoon.

But I´m just nitpicking - cool model! Keep posting... :)

So the pin-up girl's the blonde office chick you made isn't she?! Don't Lie!! Tell us!!

Perfect match for this guy! Really big congrats on getting closer to landing a job at Pixar!

this is really great. 3D office nerds always get the pretty 3d bunnygirls dressed like office women.

The skin texture is really great but i think the hair looks a little to plastic.

brilliant

5 stars from me

awesome character, once again. Would've been great if his spectacles were at least a bit magnifying, though. Can't wait to see more with those characters.

Thats exactly what i was thinking - Office girl sitting at her big desk ordering a lovestruck office nerd around carrying stacks of paper would be perfect for the master/ servant thing, but as you said, you cant use stuff youve already got modeled!
Bah!

OH,MY!This is actually the one perfect to have some story with the office girl and the bunny girl! How did you design him!You really make me believe that a good model is not just a model, but an individual living thing!

I love this guy, he's 100% concentrated nerd :). It's a pity you cant use these characters in the M&S challenge, they'd be a real deviation in style from most of the photorealistic entries.
Again, brilliant work, I love how you give each of your characters individual personality, and the stylized cartoonish look is brilliant. Well done, cant wait for the animation, I can almost picture their interactions already.

Cheers mr posh!

Not been doing much work around here recently. Ive really gotta get crackin with my short! Ive got the whole thing storyboarded with effective composition, framing, and art direction, and the environment is mostly built. All thats left is to light it (thats gonna be tricky) and to animate the damn thing!
Ive not posted any WIPs in the animation forum cos this is likely to be a very slow moving project with not much to see until the ball is rolling.
Coming home and workin on what i enjoy most (characters) was great, but now all i have left is environment work, lighting and animation, and i find them somewhat of a chore to do after work!

Man, I LOVE your style. It's the perfect blend of realism and exaggeration, where you know that character could never exist in real life yet you feel you've known someone just like them. The facial poses are so expressive that they breathe life into that which could never hold it. And though the bunny girl gets more attention because she's so cute and loveable, I really think I like the geek a bit more, he just seems so FAMILIAR, like an old friend or work buddy. Especially with the 5 'o clock shadow and greasy balding hair and whatnot. The office girl is best though, she just looks so sexy... anyways, I'm looking forward to your short. I hope you get some good voice acting in too. That makes me wonder, what do UK geeks sound like? Hmmm, i'm going to have to meditate on this....

Cheers matey - glad you like him! Bunny girl got a choice award, and so did secretary girl (even though shes pretty much just a redress!) , yet nerd was a brand new character and slipped away unnoticed. Such is the power of the sexy CG lady!

Im really trying to motivate myself with my short - ive got it storyboarded and everything, but i always get the itch to do character modeling rather than animation!
By the way - ive created my short so that the entire story can be told with no dialogue - office girl says one line, and thats it.

so great. I have been a fan of your women- but this is awesome. He looks so alive- but not weird or creepy at all... but a great nerdy feel. This character is probably meant just to be a supporting figure- but looking at him I see a whole feature. Maybe its the nerd in me- but I can identify with this character.

Great

Funny stuff.

Seeing as these office characters seem to be playing on well known stereotypes you could perhaps use a short, fat, smartly suited boss with one of those deep booming voices to complete the set.

I'm not sure what scripts you are working with/planning for your short, but the blonde would easily fit the part of the secretary.

One constructive criticism I would have with this particular character is that his balding doesn't seem to reflect his age, as his skin is quite youthful.

Hmm. Not sure if you'd be into this or not but I just had an idea of how to get your film made for free. Post your characters and story board. Then have a competition. You start with the first frame of the board and specify the intended direction. Everyone does an animation and posts there daily progress. Then, at the end, everyone votes on who did the best animation scene by scene. By the end of it, you have a short film directed by you and animated by the world animation community.

If you're concerned about giving out your model, then just make a low poly-proxy of it and use one of those great free rigs. my vote would be to use Brad Noble's: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=174308. Then, you could just replace the proxy with the real model. Facial animation might be an issue though... Hmmm... You're using Max right? I think you can use the new skin wrap mod to make the proxy object drive the full geometry. Yeah, I think that would actually work pretty well.

Just a thought. I know I would love to take a stab at it. That's for sure.

Cheers!
