two options occur to me instantly

1) try making a new texture with a light colour in it and no specular, then lower the alpha and put on top of your "love hearts" to make them look sherbet covered. Also maybe put in a very low soft bump with a pretty tiny turbulence noise to give it a little more powdery look.

3) Lower the saturation and contrast bring up the brightness on the colours, and get rid of the specular highlights. also you can add the tiny ammount of soft turbulent bump on top (really tiny bump) if you want
