Title: Shrek Low-poly Model
Name: Brian Cairns
Country: United States
Software: Maya, Photoshop
This is a low-poly model of Shrek I've been working on for the past few weeks just for fun in my spare time. Modeling and rigging were done in Maya, and texturing in Photoshop. He's finished, but critiques are always welcome. I'm working on animating him now, although I don't have any webspace to host it right now :(, so I don't know when I'll be able to post it here. Thanks for looking! :)

yeah good job! I could totaly see this in a shrek video game. Altho, I would like to see the texture change at the end of his clothes tho. I would expect to see frassled edges or something.

Very nice model-- I'd like to see the animation when you're done.
As for hosting, I can offer you cheap hosting, and if you'd help me out with Maya, possibly free. Unlimited bandwidth/storage too. Contact me at nunzio@gmail.com
Take care,

Thanks guys. The model is 5464 tris (2783 quads), which is maybe a little high. Texture map is 1024x1024. I was planning on adding the worn edges with an alpha map, but completely forgot as I was creating the texture. I'll add that and change the skin tone a bit and then post an update. Thanks for the comments!

Ok, here's a small update. I changed the skin tone a little bit to a brighter green color, and added frayed edges to his shirt. Any more comments would really be appreciated. Thanks!

Phew!
I've seen this guy a few times before... : )
I would change the head shape a little - Shrek's head is fatter and more fleshy, but other than that, ace job!

Yeah, you're right about the head. I'm not sure if I'll go back and change it now though, hehe. I might try out some more animation with him though :). Thanks for the comments!
p.s. I like your work. When do you think you'll be able to update your site with clips from Shrek2 and Madagascar? Would love to see those, hehe. Looking forward to Shrek 3. :)

I asked about that, and it doesn't look like I'll be able to put my work up on the internet....
