Sorry for the quality of my sketch. I'm not a good draftsman and for the moment i only have the atmosphere of my picture in mind.
So i will explain what i will trying to do in this picture :)
I will put on situation an african shaman and a gorilla in the jungle. The shaman is smaller than the gorilla but he control it with the voodoo magic. He hold it by a leash. May be the shaman will be a pigmet to accentuate the body height difference. The gorilla may be a white gorilla with many charm on it.

Sorry for my bad english...

Now begins the modelisation :)!!! This is the shaman hunting knife. For information it is a real knife call "kota" native to Gabon.

I think your concept sketch speaks a lot about your talent, and you are being very modest about it. Very nice, keep up the good work.

First of all, thanks for all your congratulation!
Otherwise nothing new. I just start the model of the shaman and it's go on slowly....

I also look for informations about the background and i asked me a lot of question about

the concept:
I like the fact that the master is smaller than the servant so i think i will increase

this fact; I will do a pigmé shaman.
Additionally i want to make the scenery more eerie, so i will make a white gorilla. It's

more uncommon. And i think it will be interesting for the color of the concept. Moreover

with the black gorilla it's difficult to see when begin the skin and when begin the hair.

And i'm looking for the behaviour of the gorilla. He is the servant so he must do

something to show it. May be carrying an accumulation of branch for the shaman....

I'm asking me an other question!! Do i have got to do the shaman a little more

cartoon.....like the gorilla.

Hum hum.... i think i'll never finish in time!

My first step with zbrush.... I learned a lot but there is more to learn before i will be abble to use this soft as well as i want. More to learn and more to do!
Can you help me please? How do you do to avoid the "belt" effect that i always have (on the eyelid for exemple)? And how do you do to get back a displacement map??

I think, i will become crazy when i will start the hands.

Well you've got a very nice start on the details, for help I think you should ask Antropus (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?t=222364&page=2&pp=15) , he seems to be a master at ZBrush.

Great work

I like your idea and drawnings

I can suggest you to use simple spheres as eyes (not just drawin' them in eyelids)...

and displacement map isn't very hard to use - you should go to lower subdiv level (by pressing shift+d) and then go Tool-displacement map-Create displacement map - the map will appear in Alpha pallete - you should export it as .tiff file. Next actions depends on software you want to render it.

thank you (o)ne. I will try it. I have an other problem :) .
I notice that the symmetry is not really correct on the cheekbone.
I'am looking for something in zbrush that can correct this. Anyone know how to do?
