View Full Version : poly-deformers crash maya 4.0.1 linux !

hi all,

did someone ever suffer from the following bug in MAYA 4.0.1 linux ?! :

every time i try to apply a deformer (lattice, non-linear, whatever) on a polygonal object, MAYA crashes without warning !

it simply vanishes away ... :hmm:

when applying the same deformer on a NURBs surface, everything works like it's supposed to !

even when converting NURBs surfaces into poly-objects - after already having applied the deformation to it - it will deform the newly generated polygonal geometry without any flaws !

can some help me on this ?! :shrug:

yes but mine crashes when I try to render, about the deformers worx pretty fine.

can you render?

if you can can you tell me how?

well, my renderings usually crash when using dmap shadows of 1024 resolution / filtersize 3 ... :thumbsdow

raytrace shadows work flawlessly ... suxX ! :shrug:
