Hey, everyone this is my first image post here, i've been lurking for a while and thought I would post something to get your comments. This guy is going to be the main character of a short that I'm starting to work on. It's for school so I'm going through storyboarding, animatics, and so on. So it won't be finished until next year sometime.

I'll appreciate in C & C.

Its is a VERY good Idea to start so early. the worse thing about student work is that people think that they can do this really great stuff in 10 weeks. ive been working on my project since june of last year and im very glad i started so early. It has really benifited from the trial and error time ive been able to utilize because i allotted so much time for the inevitable screw ups. keep it up!

Lookin' pretty nice.
Here's a critique: It seems to be that your characters legs might be a little short, or at least her (is it s her? that would be my other critique) hips are a little low. So the models look good, beside that. Ultimately you might want to add some detail to the main body of the ship. (hoses, escape hatches, extra windows, etc.) But good job. Hope I helped.

looking really good.

the main thing i noticed w. the person is the neck brace/armour. it is too high in the front - he can't look down at all. not good to have your soldiers tripping on debris on the battlefield ;) think about shirt collars and how they allow for that movement.

Also, you might want to consider some sort of crotch protector... could be cause i'm a guy, or that my wife recently um... accidentally made me aware of that vulnerability...

Keep on working, it's going great. not that you have the major forms in, start thinking about the details, especilly the ship.

Thanks for your comments. It is supposed to be male. But I'm trying for a younger/fairer type of male, more like a scientist and not a soldier. When I texture he's going to have some stubble so that might help.

As far as details go I think I still have some work there, I considered a crotch protector but a couple designs i tried looked funky, but I'm definatly coming back to it. Along with more pockets, stuff on his belt, and plenty more on his ship.

Oops. A man, huh? I would suggest reasessing this character's thighs/hips/buttocks. :) Perhaps try broadening the shoulders and shortening the neck. The crotch protector would help in this department as well.
