On Wednesday, tragedy struck Las Tortugas de Jesus, a sea turtle sanctuary in Akumal, Mexico, just south of Cancun. A vacationing 16-year-old teen entered the endangered terrapins' safe haven and began jumping on top of the nesting reptiles with both feet. 34 turtles were killed in the rampage, and 15 more were wounded. The perpetrator was uninjured.

"Life is like a video game," the teenager reportedly said before being dragged away by local police. "If I hadn't jumped on those turtles, they would've sprouted wings and could've kidnapped the princess. What then, huh? HUH?!"




This kid is obviously mentally unstable...what a ****ing idiot, I just can't stress this enough, he's a ****ING IDOT!

I love how they try to pawn the blame out on Nintendo...the kid is loony.

EDIT: is this maybe an april fools thing?

i got burned today bigtime... my car's been broken into 4 times in the last few months, so my housemate decided, today, to message me with a frantic SMS telling me to come outside because both front windows were smashed. I popped on a pair of slippers and dashed outside into the cold, screaming blue murder, only to find it was a prank of course.

unfortunately, by the time I got down there it had passed 12 noon, so I can't bloody get him back for it!

That story reminds me of the kid that shot some people (including a cop) and when the cops nabbed him he told them "Life is like a game, you gotta die sometimes". From what I understand there are lawsuits pending because someone sold him GTA.
Unfortunately, that wasn't a joke...

This was funny though... I almost fell for it...
