My first idea, I'm not sure if I'll use it or not.

My first idea, I'm not sure if I'll use it or not.
At each of the two poles of the world Ki, a great tree grows thousands of miles into the sky, and its branches reach all the way to the equator where they mingle with those of the oposite tree. The southern tree is called Arce, and the northern Roble. Long ago two rival cultures each claimed a tree as their own. Of course, each faction believes that the other tree is a better place to live and so they have waged a constant war for thousands of years to try and conquer the rival tree. The greatest heros of these conflicts are the renowned Perezosi, the riders of the Giant Sloths. Indeed, a mounted Perezosi is quite possibly the most terrifying sight on Ki, though observers from more exciting worlds would probably tell you that isn't saying much. The greatest battles of Ki consist of hordes of Sloth mounted warriors blindly charging down a branch toward the enemy at glacial slowness. The finest Sloths have been seen to reach speeds as high as 12 miles per hour - over short distances of course. Unfortunately the Sloths tend to be somewhat difficult to motivate, and require a good sleep at least half of the day. This makes travelling any great distance rather difficult, and thus the two nations have adopted a military strategy that focuses on well placed sentries rather than mobile attack forces. One of the newer warriors to join the ranks of the Perizosi is Tyan. Mounted atop (*cough* uh below?) his noble and faithful sloth he patiently guards his branch, ready to defend his tree against any foray the enemy might make. The sloth riders lead a lonely life, stationed on the far edges of their country with only their sloth to keep them company.
I'm not sure this has enough potential for emotion and to convey to master/servant theme, so I'm going to sleep on it and maybe try another concept tomorrow. If I cant come up with anything I like better I'll do this though, but I think I have another idea.
Oh yeah, the sloth is really more of a giant bear/rat I guess, I think it looks cooler that way.

Cool idea and story, it was a good decision to develop this one
Hey Thanks for the good information, I will change the horns. Ur concept is nice, but maybe the image will be stronger when you turn the perspective a little more to the camera is you now what i mean. A 3/4 . Thats what I should do. But I like the beast. keep on goiing
I thought I would return the favour, and look at your work.
I like the style of the drawing and the description of the scenario is pretty thorough but I am not sure how you will convey all of these aspects in one image. It is, I supose, clear that there is a duality in your image, of the master and servant and 'which is which', and this seems to be a regular theme in a lot of posts.
I look forward to seeing other ideas should you post them.
