Hi,

How can I convert c4d models to 3ds?
Or at least view them without installing Cinema4D.

All 3D viewers that I know of (Alteros3D, Deep Exploration, Numega Rendering etc) can't display c4d models greater than version 4 :cry:

Any tips, plz?

there's no way to do this

*.c4d is a proprietary fiel format just like *.max

to open c4d-files, you need cinema4d. unfortunately, the demo-version won't help you saving/exporting is blocked.

you could ask if someone is willing to convert it for you or you'll have to buy C4d.

I have Cinema4D full, but I have a collection on over 200 models in c4d version 7 and I was looking for some way around, like a batch converter or so. It's not my greatest wish to open and export each one of them by hand. And all this because I'm using mainly Max... :)
