I'm sure there is a plugin for that. (maybe more than on pipe something or other)
Are you talking textures or modelling?
cheers

Hey AdamT:
As I mentioned I hadn't tried either,
where can you get solidspline pro from (Maxon)?
Whats the differences between the two (solidsplines/quickpipe)?
cheers bud

You can get SSPro here: http://www.bookwoodarts.de/pe/

Be sure to check out all the other great stuff, if you haven't seen this site. Lots of good free stuff, too.

I'm not sure what the difference is. I don't have Quick Pipe. The nice thing about SSPro is that it only adds the extrusion at render time, so it doesn't slow down the editor.

demomode at c4d-treff.de's forum stated that the current quikpipe won't work with c4d-r8.:thumbsdow

gosh, i really hope so!!! those third party plugins are too damn useful, and it would be a massive blow to the community if there was no backwards compatability.

Hopefully the developers will update those plugins that don't work with v.8. I know Bhodinut is committed to updating, and I'm sure the other commercial developers will do the same unless their plugins have become obsolete. I can see keeping both v.7 and v.8 installed for some time.

I believe Paul will have a small update for SSpro users, not too sure if the version I have is the latest public release or not, but it works great in R8.

While we are on the subject of 3rd party plugs, I thought I'd mention another great reason for R8, (though I think some will work in XL 7.3 as well) There are amazing things being developed. Can't say anything about them as its up to the developers, but needless to say another great thing about new versionss is new functionalities and ideas come up in the third party developers heads. man oh man are great iudeas popping up now.

That's what I love to hear! I know Paul's been pretty quiet of late. Must have something really big up his sleeve!

what version do you have for sspro.

as for bigger and better things, well I know there will be a few updates, mainly for compatability to various plugins, outside of that I'm not saying:shame:
