Hi,

I'm rigging a horse character that is a single mesh. Because of this,
the character's hoofs stretch and squash as I move the IK legs. This
is a problem because horse hoofs are supposed to be rigid objects.
How would I go about making this part of the model rigid? In Maya you
simply paint the weights of this area 100%. Is there a similar way to
do this in messiah?

Thanks,

-Brian

Stick a bone in the hoofs to make them rigid or use meta effectors on the feet. Go to Messiah's site they have a video on meta effectors. I also recommend watching the bones video on there as well.

Messiah bones are very powerful. You dont need weight painting any more!:D:D:D

Don't forget the good ol' limited region for a bone. Sounds ideal for a hoof :)
