There seems to something broken with GI when using Hybrid with Studio 2.2a. This problem wasn't there in previous version of Studio.

Steps to repeat

1. Load any scene
2. Add a light into the scene
3. Render with GI, All, Monte Carlo

- Works fine

4. Now render with GI, All, Hybrid

- The entire scene is filled with a numerous amount of white noise artifact
- Lowering the intensity of the light doesn't fix the problem.
- Lowering the GI intensity to something very low like .01, works sort of, but the lighting becomes too dark to be worth using GI in the first place.

Anyone else running into this same problem.

Same problem here, testet it with a simple pSphere.
i tried also turning GI Noise Reduction on. the scene then looks very funny, all objects are white and the shadows are very hard!
dont know if this is the norm with GI Noise Reduction and hybrid... never used this settings before.

Update.

Photon Map doesn't work properly, but it didn't work for me in the past so this is still a broken feature for me.

Caustics doesn't work at all in latest version using either method, but worked in the past.

Hybrid works fine with direct light source, but not with Environment. Monte Carlo works fine. If you need to render something that uses exterior environment lighting and interior direct lighting, your best bet is to use Hybrid with direct and Monte Carlo with environment and composite the renderings together.

I'll provide scene file(s) to test upon request.

Much thanks for the effort, tj:)

It sounds like it may be the same issue that affected HDRI. We'll track down the problem. Please contact me via private email.
