Hello , I've got a question. Im doing some modeling , just messing around with different things, and I'm trying to get this effect on my renders. Not sure what it is called or how to use it , but any info would be helpful. I got a few pics that show the effect I'm talking about ( the effect is like a single colored object with a little shading ). Sorry if this is in the wrong section or is the dumbest question ever asked , I've just started using MAX so go easy on me.
Thanks for any info.

To get lighting like that you need to use what's called a skylight. Simply put it's lighting that simulates a sky so you get even ambient light in all of your scene. If you want to use the standard max renderer to get this, simply create a skylight form your lighting panel, and then turned on Advanced lighting. (you can get more info in the Max user reference if needed) There is also Mental Ray which comes in Max now and has more advanced features for attaining this look. Then from the plugin side of things, there are lots of renderers out there that you could use as well.

hope this helps

Yes! The skylight gives off the exact effect I was looking for. Thank you!
