Ok guys! Got a huge probelm rigging a character in cinema4D.
mentioned this in a challenge thread before but now it's is totally killing my workflow.(challenge was for fun - now need some real help for a work that needs to be finished)

I made a tiny little face. Made some bones for moving the eyelid(right word). Then attached them to the mesh - made restriction tags - moved the bones in an angle - nice it worked.

Goin' on with that i made bones for the mouth. No lip move only 2 bones. Made the setup the same as for the eyes.
Then i moved the bones and felt not satisfied with that result.

What to do? Hit Ctrl+Z? Yep. And then a big bang the head is totally twisted no idea why. I tried to reset the bones. It worked and the head got the final shape again but the bone-setup was destroyed. The bones where scaled before and got a specific angle but not after this bang.

What happened? A bug. Cinema bug or mistake of myself?

Help would be great!

P..:

if you like to have images of this i can post them later today.

THat undo problem is a limitation, mailny we can't record a rest position, but there is a workaround, as tou can record positions in animation right. so record the PSR (position, scale, rotation) of the entire bone heirarchy, and then when you need to undo you just more back and fourth a frame.

ok just wanted to post an image and a little animation test to show you what i want to animate.

Hair made by pingo just modified!

@kaiskai will it help to set more undo steps? Or did i take it wrong.

hi Prayas - this is off topic - just wanted to tell u I enjoy seeing that your character modeling skills improved a lot the last couple of weeks - cool!

What codec did u use for the animation? I canīt see it!

As for the rigging - u can look forward to r8 - it`s a breeze!!! Have had my early bird version for a couple of days and the (previously tedious) task of rigging can now be a matter of minutes!!

Hey prayas, number of undos won't make a difference, you'll find you can undo things you did before the bones screwedup but the bones are still screwed, save the position of bones at the 0 frame. thats the best thing to do.
