ok, so I couldn't just go to bed without brightening the characters a bit.

I hope I'm doing this right. First time entering. My original idea wouldn't work due to copyright issues, so I had to work on a new idea. Came up with this one. Just a quick sketch I did in Photoshop. more updates to come. I'm going to try and do this as fast as possible cause I could get a call to work on a new project any moment.

cropped original sketch and quickly colored it in to figure out what color/light scheme I want to use.

Heheh, I quite like this actually. I love the Monty Burns-ish look on the Master's face. :) Looking forward to seeing where this goes!

after a few quick sketches of what I wanted to have the master look like, I settled on this one, so I colored it in. Butler concepts to come.

I think I need to make the master's head less narrow. maybe widen the jaw and reshape the eyes and just in general widen the face. not sure. I'll have to sleep on it and look at it with fresh eyes.

just more modeling on the butler. If anyone knows any good tips for modeling wrinkles, I'd be happy to hear them. wrinkle modeling isn't my strong suit.

I would definitively narrow my color range. Unless you,re going for the "fun" style.
Red purple yellow brown is to much and can be distracting. I would go more toward the purple as it is a quite regal color and isn,t used much.
Of course just my opinion.

a new direction for the master character. aiming more for a real person this time, instead of the vampiric character from before.

just messing around with facial features and making his skin shader. I may decide to give him a more pale color, but I wanted to start off with a more natural shade as a jumping off point.

just started texturing and shading the master. I don't know if I'm even going to have time to finish this thing in time, but I'm gonna try.

I changed my mind about the Master's hair too. I thought the Doc Brown style hair I had in the concept didn't fit him, since he's so sickly and disgusting. It seemed fitting to have him with this greasy thinning comb-over instead.

Man oh man, that is so wonderfully creepy. Awesome work. :thumbsup: His eyes look almost milked over. Are you going to keep both his eyes like that, or just one? :D

yeah, I don't want his eyes to appear like they are glowing really. I want that cataract look. Having it in only one eye sounds like a good idea though. I'll keep that in mind for when I'm doing the lighting milestone.

I didn't know if I should put this under texturing or modeling, so I went with Texturing, since I'm done with the model and I've started texturing. This is the Master's chair.

Also, if anyone knows what the difference between the lighting and rendering stage is, I wouldn't mind knowing. To me they seem to be the same thing.

just putting everything into place. I didn't bother putting milestones for the background stuff because it's not that important to the piece. Some of it might not even show up much when I render. plus the models suck. :)

Working on the lighting. I think I need to add some lights to kick up the characters from the background. But it's late and I need to get to bed.
