View Full Version : update buggy
toonafish 03-30-2005, 04:34 PM I updated Messiah:Studio yesteday and I'm still having severe problems with the interface. It's useless !! Screens are not refreshing, stuff is popping up allover the place, fonts are unreadable. I've never seen software bahaving this bad.
I haven't used it since the update from 1.5 bacause of bugs like this, and it looks as if it's getting worse. Is it my karma or are there other people suffering from the same problem ?? And more importantly, what is the solution.
I'm working on a dual Xeon 3.8, Win 2K, Quadro FX 3400 with the latest drivers.
Thanks

I'm not aware of anyone having problems like that. Have you tried the old Quadro fixes mentioned in the docs? I'm not aware that they're still necessary, but it couldn't hurt to try.

Try a clean install, might help.

I have a Quadro FX 2000 which I've been using with Messiah and no problems but
decided to update to the latest Nvidia drivers and it caused the program to crash every
time as open gl was being queried on start up.
I eventually reinstalled my old driver and everything works great. (56.77) is the version
that is working and has been stable...very solid. Kind of a shame because Lighwave worked
very well with the new drivers. Hope that helps as I know it is very frustrating.

Sounds like back buffer issues to me. Is there a way toggle some different methods of doing back buffer switching?

I changed the opengl settings to block transfer and now it's much better, only some weird unreadable rollover text in the scripts tab as far as I can see now.
Let's hope other programs won't start complaining about this setting.
Thanks for the help so far.
