ok i have a glass ball and im using ray traced material on it, i want to render it and composite it on a bg in after effects, at the time of rendering im not sure of what color bg i want to composite it on so i leave my max bg black. disaster happens when i take the tga sequence to AE, the ball does not have any transparency in it , when i check my alpha channel its a solid white ball when it should have been in grayscale with highlights and other transparency properties. i read in the max help file that max does not render additive opacity by default and we have to add a line to the ini file of max. i did that but nothing is happening other packages like LW etc have no problem with additive opacity and alpha channels , is there a work around in max ,
