No it's not painting of some cheesy eighties metal band, but it's damn close.......
Anyways my new goal is to try and get some of my work on cards...covers...comics..anything cool. I'm going to keep on painting and adding to my porfolio and hopefully I'll get there.

this is an early WIP shot....just for anyone who's curious.

I was curious. I'm always amazed when artist like you can do this without any sketch first. When it gets complicated I get lost without a drawing, a simple head I can handle but not entire compositions. Thanks for showing this.
BTW- Painter or Photoshop?

This was done all in Painter. Yeah lately I have been just working without any inital sketches....just blocking things out in painter very loosley, trying to work out ideas, then when i get something im happy with i just go in and refine. The Blocking out part is the fastest and the funnest....the refinment part is cool because you start to see the whole image come together, but it can be a bit tedious.

is there a higher res one? ,

yep, this is the shrunken version. After my debacle with a certain video card manufacturer stealing my work, I'm leery of posting any high-res shots.
